Hardwood Islands
Since we mill all of our wood in-house, we have the ability to make just about any size Island you want. And if you choose epoxy with your wood, we can backlight that for you! Which is amazing looking! Most islands can be finished in under 4 weeks. And we can install as well.
We have four distinct options for you to choose from:
Live Edge Island
This is where the island exhibits the natural beauty of its shape when it was a tree. Each piece is unique, great for when you need to make a statement. Because we are rescuing the largest trees we can find from the landfill, often they have defects that have to be filled with epoxy, but that only adds to the beauty of the wood grain, and the uniqueness of each piece.
Bookmatched Island
If you look really close at the photo above you will see a faint line running down the center of the island. That is what makes it a "bookmatch". The island is comprised of two pieces of wood from the same tree glued together to make one piece. This is an option when the island you want is huge, or the wood you want usually grows small.
Wild Island
If you want to get funky, we can get funky! Have AI dream up a design for you, we will do our best to make it happen! This Island is several pieces of black walnut, with an enormous amount of epoxy in a blue glitter design.
Epoxy River Island
Sometimes a piece of wood is too small to be a full island, but too pretty to throw out, and that's where epoxy comes in. We can match the color of your counters, or anything else in the room with the epoxy if you want.
