Three glue-up tables: maple, poplar and walnut
Every table in the line is a 2″ thick solid hardwood top in your choice of four sizes, with an eased, round-over or chamfered edge and our satin finish included. Prices below are for the top; add a steel base, engraving or delivery in the builder. A glue-up costs 20% less than the same size cut from a single slab.
Maple Glue-Up Dining Table
Hard maple is pale, creamy and one of the hardest woods grown in Maryland, so it stands up to homework, game nights and daily dinners. Its clean, even grain gives a bright, modern look, and laser engraving shows in sharp, dark contrast.
| 72" x 30" · seats 6 | $2,040 |
| 72" x 36" · seats 6 | $2,448 |
| 84" x 36" · seats 8 | $2,856 |
| 96" x 36" · seats 8 to 10 | $3,264 |
Prices are for the top with square corners. Rounded corners add $180. Shown on the 418 Curva steel base (+$324).
Poplar Glue-Up Dining Table
Poplar is our best value. Every board carries its own streaks of cream, green and sometimes purple, so no two tops look alike. It is softer than maple, which makes it a good fit for a family table that will wear in with character over the years.
| 72" x 30" · seats 6 | $1,860 |
| 72" x 36" · seats 6 | $2,232 |
| 84" x 36" · seats 8 | $2,604 |
| 96" x 36" · seats 8 to 10 | $2,976 |
Prices are for the top with square corners. Rounded corners add $180. Shown on the 418 Curva steel base (+$324).
Walnut Glue-Up Dining Table
Black walnut is the classic heirloom table: a deep chocolate brown with flowing grain that warms the whole room. Engraving on walnut reads as a subtle, darker burn, so a family name or verse looks refined rather than loud.
| 72" x 30" · seats 6 | $2,280 |
| 72" x 36" · seats 6 | $2,736 |
| 84" x 36" · seats 8 | $3,192 |
| 96" x 36" · seats 8 to 10 | $3,648 |
Prices are for the top with square corners. Rounded corners add $180. Shown on the 418 Curva steel base (+$324).
Laser engraving: names, scripture, quotes and logos
We can laser engrave anything up to a 36″ x 36″ area into your tabletop (36″ x 30″ on the 72″ x 30″ table). Text engraving is $195: family names, wedding dates, a verse, a favorite quote. Logo or image engraving is $395: company logos, a child’s drawing, a family crest.
Upload your artwork in the builder. Vector files (SVG, AI, EPS or PDF) engrave the cleanest, but photos and sketches work too; we trace them for you. Before we engrave anything, we email you a digital proof of the layout on your table to approve. Add the gloss flood coat to seal the engraving under a smooth, wipeable surface. Not sure which wood suits your engraving? Compare them on our wood species guide.

Glue-up dining table questions
What is a glue-up table?
A glue-up top is made from several solid hardwood boards glued edge to edge into one panel, instead of being cut from a single slab. It stays flat and stable, gives you clean straight edges, and costs 20% less than a slab table of the same size.
How thick is the top?
Every glue-up top is a full 2″ thick solid hardwood.
Maple, poplar or walnut: which should I choose?
Maple is light and very hard, and shows engraving in crisp contrast. Poplar is our best value, with natural cream, green and purple streaks. Walnut is a rich chocolate brown and the classic heirloom choice.
Is the table in the photos the base I get?
The photos show each wood on our 418 Curva steel base. You can choose that base, any of our other steel bases, your own legs, or the top only.
What can you engrave, and how big?
Names, dates, scripture, quotes, logos and artwork, up to a 36″ x 36″ area (36″ x 30″ on a 30″-wide table). Text engraving is $195 and logo or image engraving is $395.
Will I see the engraving before you burn it?
Yes. We email you a digital proof of the layout on your table, and we only engrave after you approve it.
How long does it take?
About 6 weeks from your deposit. Rush production can finish in as little as 2 weeks for 20% more.
Do you deliver?
Pickup at our Windsor Mill shop is free. Local delivery within 30 minutes of 21244 is $350, and we can quote delivery farther out. You can also visit our showroom in Catonsville to see finished tables in person.
What about my own legs?
For your own legs we set threaded inserts into the underside ($150) so they bolt on and come back off for moving.
