About The English Walnut Species

The English Walnut is a majestic tree with a broad crown. This tree is native to southern Europe and southwest Asia and has many names, including; Persian Walnut, Maderia Walnut and Carpathian Walnut. They can live up to 150 years and grow up to 120ft tall. While Black Walnut has the dark chocolate look; English Walnut has more of a lighter, coffee colored look. The wood is moderately coarse grained, frequently cross-grained with a beautiful figure, rich in color. It is heavy, not especially strong, rather tough and irregular in texture.
