Starting prices are for a cherry slab, 2″ thick, live edge, with the least-expensive steel base where legs apply. Walnut, epoxy river, cookie slabs, larger sizes and rush production add to the price — the calculator shows every line item before you enter a single detail about yourself.
How our pricing works
Every quote the calculator shows is built from four numbers: the board feet in your slab (length × width × thickness ÷ 144), the species rate (cherry and poplar lowest, ash and maple in the middle, elm and walnut highest), the base you choose, and any extras — epoxy river, cookie slab, hand-rubbed polish or rush production. You see every line item before you enter a name or email. Delivery in the Baltimore–Washington area is a flat $350; pickup from our Windsor Mill shop is free. A 50% deposit reserves your build and the balance is due at delivery.

Calculator questions, answered
Is the calculator price final?
Yes for everything the calculator can price: size, species, thickness, edge, epoxy, finish, base, delivery and rush. The only things that can change it are custom requests you add afterwards, such as a second river or a base we don’t stock.
What changes the price most?
Slab size and species. A 10-foot walnut slab has about three times the board feet of a 6-foot cherry one and a higher per-foot rate, so it can cost two to three times as much before any extras. Epoxy river is the next biggest line.
How long until my table is delivered?
Standard builds take about 6 weeks once your 50% deposit is paid; the calculator shows the earliest date. Rush production, as fast as two weeks, adds 20%.
Can I order something the calculator doesn’t show?
Yes. We build conference tables, mantels, shelving and one-off commissions. Call 240-720-3317 or send the contact form and we’ll price it by hand using the same rates.
What if I already have legs?
Choose “I’ll use my own legs” in the legs step. The base drops out of the quote and a $150 hardware charge is added: we set threaded inserts into the underside of the top so your legs bolt on and come off again for moving.
Is there a less expensive option?
Yes. A glue-up top is made from straight hardwood boards joined edge to edge instead of one slab, and costs about 20% less. Glue-up desks, coffee tables, bars and islands are priced right here; glue-up dining tables come in four set sizes on our glue-up dining tables page.
